Subprocessors
Last updated:
Guestologie uses the service providers below ("subprocessors") to help deliver our platform. They may process personal data on our behalf, which can include data about our restaurant clients' guests. Each one is bound by a written contract with data-protection terms at least as protective as our agreement with our clients, and we review its security and privacy practices before we use it.
Get notified of changes: email privacy@guestologie.com with the subject "Subprocessor updates" to be added to the notification list. We give subscribed clients at least 30 days' notice before a new subprocessor starts processing their data, and clients can object as set out in our Data Processing Addendum.
Infrastructure and data
| Subprocessor | What they do for us | Data processed | Location |
|---|---|---|---|
| Google (Google Cloud Platform) | Hosts our platform: application services (Cloud Run, Kubernetes Engine), the operational database (AlloyDB), caching (Memorystore), file storage, backups, logging, the analytics warehouse and machine-learning infrastructure | All platform data: guest identity and contact details, reservations, spend, notes and preferences; platform-user account data | United States (Oregon, us-west1) |
AI services

| Google (Vertex AI) | Generates guest visit summaries, preference notes, suggested service actions and draft message text for restaurant staff | Guest name, visit and spend history, notes and preferences, loyalty tier | United States |
AI features are optional and enabled only where a client has approved them. Our AI provider processes this data only to provide the service to us, and under Google's enterprise terms may not use it to train its own models.

Not on this list: systems that a restaurant connects to Guestologie itself, such as its reservation platform (for example OpenTable or SevenRooms) or point-of-sale system (for example Oracle Simphony or Toast). The restaurant chooses and contracts with those providers directly. They send data to us under the restaurant's instructions and are not our subprocessors.
