Privacy requests
You can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal information, or exercise any of the other rights described in our Privacy Policy (Section 9). There is no charge.
Before you start: who holds your data?
If you dined at, or booked with, a restaurant that uses Guestologie, that restaurant controls your information. You can contact the restaurant directly, or submit the form below. We will forward your request to each restaurant that holds a record matching your details, and help it respond.
If you are a Guestologie platform user, a website visitor or a business contact, we handle your request ourselves. We also handle requests about the uses described in Section 4 of our Privacy Policy.
Make a request
Rather not use the form? Email privacy@guestologie.com and tell us:
- your name, and the phone number and/or email address you used when booking;
- the restaurant(s) you visited, if you know them;
- the country, state or province you live in;
- what you would like us to do (for example, see a copy of your data, delete it, correct it, or stop a particular use).
What happens next
- We confirm we received it within 5 business days.
- We check it's you. We send a one-time code to the email address or phone number we hold for you. If we can't verify you that way, for example because we hold no contact details for you, we will ask for other information that matches our records.
- We find your records across the restaurants that use Guestologie. For restaurant guest data, we forward the request to each restaurant involved within 10 business days and follow its instructions.
- We respond within one month (UK/EEA), 30 days (Canada) or 45 days (US states). If a request is complex, we may extend this by up to two further months (UK/EEA), 30 days (Canada, outside Quebec) or 45 days (US states). If we do, we will tell you why within the original period.
Deletion: we delete your personal information or make it permanently anonymous. We keep only the records the law requires, such as proof that you opted out of text messages so you are never messaged again. If we keep any, we will tell you which and why.
Requests on someone else's behalf: an authorized agent needs the person's signed written permission or a power of attorney. We may still contact the person directly to confirm.
Not happy with our answer? Reply to our response to appeal, and we will review it within 45 days (US states). You can also complain to your data protection authority (see Privacy Policy, Section 9).
Text messages: to stop messages straight away, reply STOP to any text. You don't need to fill in this form.
